Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Lotion Review

Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Lotion Review

  • Skin Review: 4/5 (200ml, $17)
  • Lotion: 4.5/5 (160ml, $17)
  • Cream: 4.5/5 (50ml, $18)
(The products in the image are not real-sized, these are from the traveling kit (15ml). But I've been using the real-sized ones for almost 2 months now, so this is my best attempt to review these for you.)

The result is not very visible, but it feels very hydrating on my skin.
  • How To: After applying toner, wait for one minute. Then warm up lotion on fingertips, and smooth the product over face. Gently pat until dried (Wait 1 min before the next skincare step).
  • Skin Type: For Combination/Acne-prone skin
  • Lasting Ability: 2.5~3 hours on skin. The big size bottle (160ml) lasts about 3~4 months.
  • SPF: None
  • Cost: ~$17 (160ml)
  • Description: More moisturizing and fresh with the 100% squeezed green tea. Rich in amino acids and minerals, green tea from the fresh Jeju green tea leaves hydrate your skin. With a water-like texture when it touches the hands, it applies smoothly and absorbs fast without any stickiness. The natural moisturizing factor betaine from amino acids provides intense moisture to combination skin to restore the skin's natural oil-moisture balance
  • Texture:  As you can see, the lotion is pretty watery compared to many others. It's slightly thicker than the toner, which helps the product adhere to the skin surface better. It takes about 1 minute to dry completely.
  • Color: White (like milk!)
  • Scent: A fairly strong Green Tea scent (that's what I think it smells like >"<~). But it doesn't bother me at all.
  • Moisturizing Ability: (8/10) Noticeably more moisturizing than the toner, but not over-moisturizing. Since it's for combination skin, the lotion does not contain that much moisturizing elements. The lotion has just enough moisturizing level that it doesn't feel sticky or oily on my skin (and also because it doesn't contain any oil at all).
  • Hydrating Ability: (9/10) The lotion is as hydrating as the toner. I think it's great for summer because it contains so much water and plant extracts, which hydrate my skin very well. The lotion does not make my skin oily, but keeps it moist, supple, and hydrated. Hydration lasts about 2.5~3 hrs (which is kinda short for a lotion, so I recommend spraying mist onto skin every hour).
  • Over-all Opinion: (4.5/5) A pretty good lotion for Combination/Acne-prone skin during summer. I think this lotion does what it's supposed to do, at a very reasonable price ($17). I will definitely will buy it again.
  • Pluses: Refreshed, light-weight, cheap, hydrating, easy to apply, fast-drying, not oily.
  • Minuses: No long-term effects, moisture/ hydration does not last very long.
  • Ingredients: The green Tea Extract (87.0%), Propanediol, Pentaerythrityl Tetraethylhexanoate, , Tangerine Peel Extract, Prickly Pear Extract, Orchid Extract, Camellia Leaf Extract, Althaea Officinalis Root Extract, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Extract, Grapefruit Extract, Orange Extract, Tangerine Extract, Glycerin, Hydrogenated Poly(C6-14 Olefin), 1,2-Hexanediol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Carbomer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tromethamine, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance
