Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Skin Review

Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Skin Review

  • Skin: 4/5 (200ml, $17)
  • Lotion Review: 4.5/5 (160ml, $17)
  • Cream: 4.5/5 (50ml, $18)
(The products in the image are not real-sized, these are from the traveling kit (15ml). But I've been using the real-sized ones for almost 2 months now, so this is my best attempt to review these for you.)

Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Skin (toner): 4/5

    • How to: Apply a dime-sized amount of toner into hands, warm the product up, and then pat over face till dry (wait 1 minute before the next skincare step).
    • Perfect for Combination skin, or Summer (No SPF).
    • Lasts about 3.5 months with daily use (200ml)
    • Cost: ~$17
    • Description:  Green tea squeezed from the fresh green tea leaves harvested on Jeju Island is rich in amino acid and mineral, to keep the skin hydrated. Having a watery texture, it applies smoothly and absorbs fast without any stickiness. Natural moisturizing factor, betaine, from the amino acids provide intense moisture to combination skin to restore the skin's natural oil to moisture balance.

    • Texture: I think the best word to describe the texture is Watery, which is what a toner should be like. It is very cooling and easy to apply. Fairly fast drying (~20s) and very light-weight.

    • Color: It has a very light white color, almost clear.

    • Scent: It has a fairy strong fresh scent of green tea (or that's what I think it smells like  >"<). But the scent doesn't bother me at all.

    • Moisturizing level: (6.5/10) Since this was a toner made for combination skin, it isn't that much moisturizing. My skin felt pretty moist at first, but after it dried, not very moist anymore. However, I think this is great because if it was more moisturizing than this, my skin would be more oily, which would not be preferred.
Very Hydrating (not fully dried yet)
    • Hydrating level: (9/10) This toner is pretty hydrating, which helps my skin from drying, but doesn't make it oily. The hydration lasts for about 2 hours (that's why I recommend using the set of both toner and lotion).
    • Benefits: Green Tea is known for it's moisturizing and hydrating ability, therefore, it was used as the main ingredient in Innisfree moisturizing skincare line. Besides from green tea, the toner offers about 7 more herbal extracts for maximizing the hydrating ability of plants from mother nature.
      • Over-all Opinion:  A great toner for Combination/ Acne-prone skin in summer (I do not recommend this for dry skin). It does not over-moisturize and not oily at all. The Green Tea Balancing Skin is pretty fast drying, fresh-smelling, and very hydrating. It does definitely worth the price.
      • Pluses: Fast-drying, light-weight, hydrating, cheap, easy to apply, No Alcohol, plant extracts.
      • Minuses: No long-term effects, hydration does not last long if used alone (~2hours).
      •
      • Ingredients: The green Tea Extract (86.9%), Propanediol, Glycereth-26, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Butylene Glycol, Betaine, Prickly Pear Extract, Orchid Extract, Camellia Leaf Extract, Grapefruit Extract, Orange Extract, Tangerine Extract, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Glyceryl Caprylate, Glycerin, Behenyl Alcohol, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Carbomer, Tromethamine, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance.
