Daiso Glitter Eyeshadow Review
Rating: 4/5Price: $1.5
Store: Daiso
Hi guys! I've been noticing Daiso makeup (especially eye shadow) for awhile now, and I finally had the chance to pick some up (I bought the pink and blue versions). This pink eye shadow palette is not disappointing at all, and for such a low price, this product is at a pretty high quality. This pink glitter collection has a warm undertone, which contains the following colors (from top to bottom): warm white, egg-shell pastel yellow, sakura pastel pink, brown red, and black.
Packaging (4.5/5): I absolutely adore this simple eyeshadow palette. It's small enough to put in a purse, and it's about the size of my hand. There is a small mirror provided that is quite convenient. One more thing that I love about this product is the applicator. It's made from very high-quality sponge, therefore, it picks up the products very easily.
Lasting (3.75): about 3 hours with no touching, and 2-3 hrs with daily action. The glitter stays on long, but the color pigments don't stay on as long.
Scent: None
Pigment (4/5): The eyeshadow is very pigmented and easy to blend. But the glitter/sheer over-dominate the color payoff a little. I applied two layers for each color on the top of my hand and as you can see, it's a pretty good product for $1.5.
Texture (4/5): Fine, smooth, and pigmented. It feels very smooth gliding the product on my skin, and it is easy to blend.
Color payoff (4/5): As you can see, the color is very similar between my hand and the product in the package. I just wish it had the same level of color pigments as the glitter pigments (because I think the glitters over-intimidate the colors a little), since the brighter colors like yellow and pink are almost similar since they are so sheer.
Overall (4/5): The rating 4/5 for almost all categories is a pretty good indication that this is an eyeshadow palette worth buying for. I've used this for awhile and I think it is at a high quality for $1.5. The only thing I don't like is that it's easy to be smudged, but if you don't touch your eyelids much, then this is not a problem. The glitter does fall off on cheeks a little, but that should be expected because these are glitter eyeshadows. However, the color and the texture win over these tiny flaws, so I'd definitely recommend it.
